Fat dissolving injections

Fat dissolving injections is a non-surgical treatment administered using mesotherapy safely and effectively eliminating small, stubborn pockets of fat which resist diet and exercise.

Aqualyx uses an ingredient called desoxycholan-acid, a secondary bile acid. This acid destroys fat cells and the fat cell residue is then removed from the body by metabolism, converting the fatty acids to energy to reduce the targeted excess fat. A treatment with Aqualyx does not result in weight loss, it minimises localised areas of stubborn fat.

Aqualyx is effective for the following areas where fat tends to be more stubborn:

  •  Chin
  • Jowls
  • Upper arms
  • Armpits
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Saddlebags
  • Behind the neck (buffalo humps)
  • Inner thighs.

3 treatments for small areas as chin. 3 to 8 appointments are recommended for larger areas, with 4-week intervals for successful results alongside a healthy and balanced diet and exercise.

During the period of swelling the area can look fuller than it did before treatment, but as the fat cells are disrupted and the inflammation subsides, most patients see results by 6 to 8 weeks after a treatment. Unless a client were to gain weight, the results should be long-lasting.

There is no downtime, but clients may experience swelling, bruising, pain, redness lumps inside that typically soften with time. Fat reduction is typically visible by eight weeks in some cases it may last up to 12 weeks.
